Biography
John is a Lecturer in Management at Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business. As a member of the Communications faculty, John teaches investor relations to second year students and advises first year students on their Action Learning Projects. In addition to teaching, John maintains a consulting practice through the firm Three Part Advisors, focusing on helping companies combine strategic thinking and practical advice about how to optimize communications between companies and investors

Before he began teaching and consulting, Mr. Palizza held financial and investor relations responsibilities at SYSCO Corporation, the largest foodservice distribution company in North America and Walgreen Co., the largest retail drug store chain in the United States. He has also worked with the firm of W. P. Stewart, an investment manager, as their Chief Operating Officer for North American subsidiaries.

Mr. Palizza holds a MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, a law degree from Loyola University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree in History from Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

John regularly writes his opinions on investor relations issues in his blog, Investor Relations Musings (http://investorrelationsmusings.blogspot.com) and has also created a MBA level textbook, Introduction to Investor Relations, for use in his course at Rice University.
