Michelle Levine Schwartz brings over 20 years of experience in finance and investor relations. Ms. Schwartz’s investor relations experience spans both counseling and corporate investor relations positions with a focus on the technology industry. She is particularly effective in developing comprehensive investor relations programs, building relationships on Wall Street, and leading communications associated with mergers and acquisitions as well as crisis communication.

Ms. Schwartz joined JDSU (NASDAQ: JDSU), a mid-cap diversified technology company focused on enabling broadband and optical innovation in the communications, commercial and consumer markets, in August 2007 and is responsible for leading JDSU’s investor relations program and activities as Senior Director of Investor Relations. She has been instrumental in developing an investor relations program to raise the visibility of a highly complex company including the communication surrounding several acquisitions.

From 2004 through 2007, Ms. Schwartz served as senior manager and director, investor relations for Juniper Networks (NASDAQ: JNPR), a large cap industry leader in high performance networking whose customers include leading telecommunications and cable operators, and corporate enterprises. She was also employed by Juniper Networks in 2001 as Manager, Investor Relations. In those capacities, she was a primary contact and liaison between the company and the investment community and responsible for the day-to-day investor relations activities, but also supported the company through various complex issues. She played a major role in navigating the company’s investor communications through difficult times including an SEC investigation of the company’s options expensing activities as well as the simultaneous announcement of a chief financial officer and general manager departure.  In addition, she managed the communications around five M&A transactions while with the company.

From 2003 through 2004, Ms. Schwartz served as Director, West Coast Operations for Burns McClellan, a public relations and investor relations communications consultancy. Ms. Schwartz was responsible for providing strategic investor relations consulting and program execution for clients and leading the West Coast Office’s efforts in attaining new business.

From 2001 through 2003, Ms. Schwartz served as Director, Investor Relations for Aerogen, Inc. (NASDAQ: AEGN), an early stage medical device company. She was responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive investor relations and public relations program.   

From 1997 through 2001, Ms. Schwartz served as account supervisor for Ketchum, Inc. a global public relations firm, where she specialized in investor relations counseling. Her responsibilities included providing strategic guidance to clients as well as developing and implementing their investor relations programs. Activities included advising clients through the Initial Public Offering process and creating multi-faceted media programs.

From 1993 until 1997, Ms. Schwartz served as Assistant Vice President, Fixed Income Derivatives Trading Group, at Nomura Securities a leading global financial services group and Asian-based investment bank where she was responsible for financial reporting for the division.

From 1989 until 1993, Ms. Schwartz served as Treasury Analyst in the Treasurer’s Office for Dean Witter Reynolds, a retail brokerage firm that has since merged with Morgan Stanley, providing analysis to evaluate and plan short-term borrowings and investments in various markets.

Ms. Schwartz received her Masters in Business Administration in Finance from Pace University, Lubin School of Business, and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from SUNY Binghamton. Ms. Schwartz served on the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley chapter of NIRI for seven years, including two terms as President. In addition to her professional achievements and responsibilities, Ms. Schwartz has served multiple years on the Board of The San Francisco Jewish Community Federation, Young Adults Division.
