Since March 2004, Kramer has overseen Interactive Data Corporation’s communications with the investment community, including financial analysts, institutional investors, stockbrokers and individual investors. His responsibilities also include managing all aspects of the company’s quarterly communications with investors, coordinating major investor events and meetings, acting as a company spokesperson and developing key positioning materials, such as award-winning annual reports and investor presentations. Prior to joining Interactive Data, Kramer was director of investor relations at Sycamore Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: SCMR), a leading provider of optical networking equipment.
Before his tenure at Sycamore, Kramer was director of investor relations for ArrowPoint Communications, a fast-growing networking company that was acquired by Cisco Systems several months after its initial public offering. Prior to that, he spent more than eight years at Sharon Merrill Associates, New England’s largest investor relations consulting firm, where he held a variety of account and senior management positions.
Kramer is ardent supporter of the investor relations profession. For the past three years, he has taught a graduate-level course on investor relations at Boston University. He has been a featured speaker at investor relations events, and is often quoted in leading trade publications on timely investor relations and corporate communications topics.
Kramer currently serves on the advisory board of IntelliBusiness, a start-up venture which markets a state-of-the-art, web-based analytics platform (http://www.eventvestor.com/) used by institutions and corporations. From 2002 through 2006, Kramer served on the Board of Directors for the National Investor Relations Institute’s Boston Chapter where his term included a year as chapter president.
Kramer received a BA degree in communication as well as an MBA degree from Boston College.
