The 2019 NIRI Leadership Week will take place September 25-27 in Washington, D.C.

NIRI launched Leadership Week in September 2017, when NIRI National Board members, chapter presidents, and advocacy ambassadors gathered in Washington to meet with Congressional staffers and Securities and Exchange Commission officials and to mobilize grassroots support for NIRI advocacy priorities, which include proxy advisor reform, short-selling disclosure, and 13D modernization.

This annual event includes a regulatory/legislative briefing on Sept. 26, after which teams of NIRI members visit House and Senate offices to discuss our regulatory reform agenda, with a focus on equity ownership transparency, proxy advisor reform, and proxy system modernization. On the following day, the NIRI delegation will meet with senior SEC staffers.
