Carol Schumacher currently serves as vice president of corporate affairs for Intercontinental Exchange, a position created in September 2015. For the prior decade, she was vice president of global investor relations at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where she was Walmart’s primary spokesperson to analysts and investors around the world.  She was Institutional Investor-ranked during her tenure.  Previously, she served Walmart as vice president of corporate affairs, responsible for reputation management programs.  Carol’s prior corporate service was senior vice president for corporate affairs of Kerr-McGee Corporation (now owned by Anadarko) as well as vice president of public relations at The Home Depot.  Her career in the public relations and marketing communications industry also included agency service at Burson-Marsteller, Cohn & Wolfe and Edelman.  

The New Jersey native received a degree in journalism from St. Bonaventure University and a master's degree in communications from Rowan University.  

She is serving a three-year term on the St. Bonaventure University Board of Trustees.
