Joscha Maerkle-Huss

Co-Founder, TonalityTech GmbH, Finance Research Group, University of Freiburg, Germany

As a member of the Finance Research Group at the University of Freiburg, Joscha Märkle-Huss pursues his passion for big data analytics. Joscha's research focus is on new approaches to data analytics and textual discourse structure analysis, which he also pursued as a visiting researcher at the world-class research institution NII in Tokyo, Japan. Joscha developed his skills around his second passion software design and user experience as a programmer at the UK-based company e.quinox. As a  co-founder of the IR data analytics company TonalityTech GmbH, Joscha combines his passion for big data analytics and software design. During 2 years at the management consultancy McKinsey and Company he collected in-depth experience on communication in corporate environments, project management and data analytics.

He holds a Master of Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from Imperial College London and has written his master thesis at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
