Elizabeth Simpson is a Partner within Heidrick & Struggles’ Financial Services and Private Equity practices and is based in the New York office. She specializes in senior-level finance assignments (CFO, controller, chief accounting officer, director of financial planning & analysis, investor relations, and treasury) for publicly held and privately owned companies within the financial services industry. Her representative client work includes private equity and hedge funds, traditional asset and investment management firms, insurance companies, real estate, and investment and commercial banking firms. Additionally, Liz works across private equity where she has participated in numerous engagements at the investment professional level.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Liz was in investment banking at Citigroup/Salomon Smith Barney, where she worked in corporate finance within industry groups as well as in strategy and management positions.

She is a founder and the president of the Somers Schools Alumni Association, a not for profit organization committed to funding and improving education within the Somers schools. She also travels to Costa Rica with Good For Kids, a not for profit corporation that brings support in the form of self-sustaining resources, health needs, educational and vocational programs directly to the children of La Carpio, a Nicaraguan refugee camp in Costa Rica.

Liz graduated from Lehigh University with a bachelor of arts degree and speaks fluent French and conversational Spanish and German.
