Michael Hutchens, a limited partner of the firm’s parent company, is the Director of Investments on the Financial Institutions Research Team and a voting member of the firm’s Small-Mid Cap Investment Committee and All Cap Investment Committee at Brandes Investment Partners, L.P. His research efforts are focused on the commercial and investment banking industries in Japan, Europe and the Americas. Before joining Brandes, Mr. Hutchens served as a bank examiner for the Federal Reserve System.  He earned his MBA with a concentration in finance from Columbia Business School and his BS in business with a concentration in finance from Indiana University. He has 18 years of finance and investment experience and is a member of the CFA Society of San Diego.
