Neil Russell

Vice President Investor Relations, Sysco Corporation

Neil Russell returned to Sysco to lead the company’s strategic investor relations program as Vice President, Investor Relations in July of 2015.

Neil recently served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, at Veritiv Corporation, where he led the company’s investor relations, corporate communications, corporate responsibility and government relations functions. Prior to that, he spent approximately seven years as Vice President, Investor Relations at Sysco.

After starting his career in strategic planning, revenue management and financial auditing at America West Airlines, Neil spent nearly a decade in a variety of investor relations, financial analysis and business planning roles at Delta Air Lines. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Arizona State University.

Among other career highlights, Neil led the financial communication efforts for Delta Air Line’s successful bankruptcy reorganization and directed their NYSE IPO. While at Veritiv he helped lead the company’s successful Reverse Morris Trust transaction involving a spin-off, merger and successful IPO. He has been named one of Treasury and Risk’s top 40 financial executives and is a frequent lecturer at industry conferences and author of numerous company publications. He has served as a board member for the March of Dimes, on the advisory board of the Sustainable Food Lab, and on the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board.
