Why should we conduct a perception study? When should we undertake this exercise? Is a perception study a good way to assess activism vulnerability? Should a study be implemented in conjunction with an investor day? What types of questions should we be asking? How do companies use results at the board and management level? These are the questions many boards, management teams and IROs ask regularly.  Regardless of how you conduct perception studies, structured feedback in the form of a perception study yields valuable insight into what your shareholders are thinking, how they view management and the strategy, and where there are gaps that need to be addressed.
