In-person meetings are one of the most important aspects of investor relations, whether meeting with investors or internally with management and the board. Being able to read situations and detect deception is a skill that every IR professional can use. Susan Carnicero, a former CIA security specialist with a background in investor relations, will outline a simple, but enormously effective, deception detection model and illustrate the most reliable deceptive indicators. Susan will share examples from both her Agency experience, as well as application examples from the investment arena and business world in general.
