Photograph of Christopher McKnett Chris McKnett is a senior Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investment strategist for the Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) Strategic Business Segments team. In this capacity, Chris’s responsibilities include thought leadership, client engagement, shaping ESG product development, and helping clients develop and implement their ESG strategies. Prior to joining WFAM in 2018, Christopher served as head ESG strategist for State Street Global Advisors and was a member of the firm’s senior leadership team. Earlier roles include Index Product and Business Development for KLD Research & Analytics in Boston, one of the first research firms to specialize in ESG investment, and as a team resource specialist for American Century Investments, where he began his investment industry career in 1999. Chris earned a bachelor’s of science in business administration with a focus in management from the University of Connecticut, Storrs and an MBA from Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver where he received the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award. He holds a Series 7 license, is a First Movers Fellow of the Aspen Institute Business & Society Program, and is a Lifetime Member of Net Impact.
