Guang Ma, PhD

Dr. Guang Ma is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University. His primary research focuses on corporate disclosure decisions, financial analysts' information processing and production activities, and the application of data analytics in capital markets. Dr. Ma has contributed numerous studies to esteemed academic journals, including The Accounting Review and Contemporary Accounting Research. In addition to his research, he actively serves on the editorial board of Contemporary Accounting Research.

As an educator, Dr. Ma specializes in teaching accounting theories and empirical research in accounting. Prior to joining McGill, he held a faculty position at the National University of Singapore. Dr. Ma received his Ph.D. in Management Science with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. He also holds a Master of Finance and a Bachelor of Economics from Peking University.
