Shelly Hubbard, is the Vice President of Investor Relations at Pentair.
Previously, Shelly was the VP and Head of Investor Relations at Vista Outdoor. Shelly joined the company in March 2021 following an eight-year career at Nike in a variety of roles in FP&A and operations finance ultimately leading to her role as Director, Global Investor Relations at Nike. She has over 20 years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, strategic planning, ESG and corporate communications with leading brands across multiple industries including outdoor recreation, performance and lifestyle footwear and apparel, financial services, healthcare, sport performance equipment, auto care and consumer data spanning from small to mega market caps.
 
During her Nike career, Shelly was recognized in her IR role through a variety of awards including the 2019 All-Star Award for work in investor relations and ESG engagement, a 2019 Just Do It Award Nominee for Nike being voted Best Investor Day by a third-party and an award for Being on the Offense, Always, a Nike maxim for developing new insights and tools while in a corporate finance role.
 
Throughout her career, Shelly has led with a curiosity to continue learning along with a servant leadership mindset. She purposely designed her career to include multi-faceted experience across several functions that pursued her passion for finance, strategy, communications and capital markets.
 
Shelly is now in her fourth investor relations role of increasing responsibility and has learned that each time she leaves the IR function, she is looking for the next opportunity to return. Shelly has decided to make IR her life-long career and is ready to help further the investor relations function to attain and maintain a must-have seat at the table within executive leadership teams with further career advancement outside of investor relations into the C-suite.
 
Shelly received her MBA from Pepperdine University and her Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. Just over a year ago, she also obtained her IRC certification and is a CPA candidate. Earlier in her career, Shelly received her Series 7, 63 and 65 FINRA licenses.
 
In 2022, she was a volunteer member of the NIRI Annual Conference Committee (ACC) and developed two sessions for the conference. In 2020, Shelly was also a member of the NIRI Think Tank: Artificial Intelligence in Investor Relations and joined a panel discussion on the topic during the virtual annual conference that year.
 
Shelly has a passion for building strong connections and relationships with others and is continuously seeking opportunities to learn and give back while aspiring to be a great leader. She enjoys reading, being active outdoors through a variety of activities, learning, traveling, spending time with family and friends and meeting new people. She currently lives near Minneapolis, MN with her husband and two children following 18 years on the West Coast.
