Michael Steele, CFA, IRC

Since 2016, Michael Steele has been Vice President of Investor Relations for Zebra Technologies, a global leader in designing, manufacturing, and marketing enterprise asset tracking and monitoring solutions. He is a member of the Finance Leadership Team, Leading ESG efforts since 2020, Integrated a major acquisition, and been through CEO, CFO transitions.
 
From 2013-2016 Mr. Steele was the head of investor relations at Office Depot, a Fortune 200 global leader in business-to-business and retail office products and solutions. 
He led the investor relations function at OfficeMax Incorporated from 2007-2013, until the company was acquired by Office Depot. Prior to Office Depot/OfficeMax, Mr. Steele held roles in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, treasury, partnership marketing, and commercial banking. 
 
He is a CFA and IRC Charterholder and earned his MBA from Loyola University Chicago. 
 
Mr. Steele won several awards including NIRI-Chicago Best Overall Chapter 2011-2012, 2-Time “Above & Beyond” Individual Award Recipient by CEO of OfficeMax, PRSA Silver Anvil Award of Excellence in Investor Relations 2011, and PR News Platinum PR Awards – Honorable Mention in Financial IR 2011.
 
Michael is an active member of NIRI Senior Roundtable, serving on the Steering Committee since 2022.
He is also actively engaged with NIRI-Chicago as a Board Chair 2022-2023, President 2021-2022 (Recognized as highest membership growth and retention chapter), EVP 2020-2021, Director: NIRI Chicago Chapter 2010-2012, 2019-Present. Michael is also Founder and Former President of ServiceMaster Toastmasters Club.
