NIRI and Ipreo to Host Fourth Annual “IR Wisdom Roadshow”

Investor relations education series returns after tremendous success; adds new city

Hong Kong – Ipreo, a global leader in providing market intelligence, data, and technology solutions to all participants across the capital markets, announced it has again partnered with the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) to offer a world-class educational experience in four cities in Asia from Friday, October 2 through Friday, October 9, 2015. The “IR Wisdom Roadshow” is designed to promote the investor relations profession through increased education, awareness and exposure. The full-day seminars are returning to Taipei, Hong Kong, and Beijing, building on the success of the previous three years. This year’s Roadshow is also expanding with a full-day seminar in Singapore.

The IR Wisdom Roadshow represents a unique opportunity for investor relations professionals in the region to benefit from an exclusive gathering of influential local, regional and international financial industry experts and peers. This year’s agendas include panels and workshops on such topics as best practices in investor relations, the changing equity and debt capital markets, communicating with the investment community, and corporate governance, with a top-notch line-up of speakers which includes IROs, CFOs, fund managers, and other industry experts. Event participants will receive a Certificate of IR Achievement to support continued career development for completing the one-day seminar.

Event attendees will also receive the option to become “Global Subscribers” of NIRI as part of the event attendance fee, a distinction that allows them to partake in certain NIRI programs and services throughout the year. NIRI is the world’s largest association of investor relations professionals with members in 40 countries. NIRI members receive the benefit of access to world-class content through monthly publications, executive alerts, global IR surveys, professional career connections, education programs, and webinars. IR leaders around the globe look to NIRI for best-in-class practice standards and education.

“NIRI is dedicated to advancing the practice of investor relations and the stature of IR practitioners around the world,” said Jim Cudahy, CAE, president and CEO of NIRI. “We are delighted to return to the region with Ipreo to share collective best practices, to engage in meaningful dialogue with experts from throughout the financial services industry, and to acquire knowledge that we can apply to the programs and services we offer to the global IR community. I also am excited to talk about the advent of our newest venture, the Investor Relations Charter Program, NIRI’s new certification program that will be introduced to the marketplace with our first IRC exam in March of 2016.”

“The success of this program over the past three years confirms our premise that education – on the markets, on the investment community, on the vital function of IR in public companies – is extremely important to the growth and development of investor relations,” said Justin Reynolds, Managing Director of Asia-Pacific for Ipreo. “We are very pleased to be helping to drive that educational programming together with NIRI, by bringing practical content and expertise directly to the IR practitioners.”
