ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) today announced that Mike Conway will serve as the Chair of the 2019 Annual Conference and will work with the Annual Conference Committee, which will advise on the educational content for the conference at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge on June 2-5, 2019.
 
Conway is Director, Investor Relations/Corporate Communications at the Sherwin-Williams Company. He has served three times on the Annual Conference Committee and has held multiple leadership positions with the NIRI Cleveland/Northern Ohio chapter. 
 
Remy Bernarda, IRC, President of Sage IR, was named a Vice Chair for the 2019 Annual Conference. She has previously served on the Annual Conference Committee.
 
Tim Quast, President of Modern IR, also was named a Vice Chair. He will advise on the needs of exhibitors and sponsors and serve as their voice in the planning of the conference. 
 
The theme of the 2019 Annual Conference will be: “The Power of IR -- Reflect -- Renew -- Reinvent.” The conference, the world’s largest gathering of IR professionals, will include a celebration of NIRI’s 50th anniversary.
 
NIRI President and CEO, Gary A. LaBranche, FASAE, CAE said: “I look forward to working with Mike, Remy, and Tim, and the other enthusiastic volunteers on the committee as we plan for the 2019 conference and celebrate NIRI’s golden anniversary. The Annual Conference Committee will play an important role in developing the educational content and shaping how attendees experience the Annual Conference.”
 
Ronald A. Parham, NIRI’s incoming Board Chair, and Melissa Plaisance, who has been nominated for Board Chair-Elect, will represent NIRI’s Board of Directors on the committee. Parham is Vice President, IR, at Cura Cannabis Solutions, while Plaisance is Group Vice President, Treasury & IR, at Albertsons.

The Conference Committee gathered in New York on November 7-8 to kick off the content planning process for the 2019 Annual Conference.
