ALEXANDRIA, VA (May 13, 2020) -- The National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), the world’s largest professional investor relations association, has announced a strategic partnership with IR club Schweiz, which represents IR professionals in Switzerland, that will bring the programming and education initiatives of both organizations closer together.

This partnership is not only designed to promote awareness of the IR profession and improve the standard of IR excellence in Switzerland, but also make it easier for IR club Schweiz members to access key educational and informational resources, including the IR Competency Suite and the IR Body of Knowledge, which are the primary reference tools for the NIRI Investor Relations Charter (IRC®) credential.

This collaboration will also allow Swiss IR practitioners to earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) at NIRI and IR club Schweiz educational events, including forums, conferences, and webinars. The PDUs are used to quantify approved learning and professional service activities required to maintain the IRC credential.

“Thanks to our new partnership with NIRI, we can provide our IR club Schweiz members with online access to educational and informational resources such as the IRC credential or the IR Competency Suite,” said Lorna Davie, Board Member, IR club Schweiz. “We look forward to a constructive cooperation with the common goal of facilitating the daily work of the IROs with helpful knowledge and best practice.”

NIRI President and CEO Gary A. LaBranche, FASAE, CAE, said: “Our partnership with IR club Schweiz will benefit IR professionals in Switzerland and give them greater access to NIRI’s wealth of resources.”

NIRI has previously announced similar partnerships with IR organizations in Mexico and Taiwan. So far, 192 IR professionals worldwide have obtained the IRC credential.

The next IRC exam window will be June 20-27, 2020. Information and applications are available on NIRI’s website: www.niri.org/certification. May 23 is the final application deadline for the June exam.
