NIRI Board of Directors Nominates
Four Candidates for National Board Positions
 
John Moten, IRC, Selected as Board Chair-Elect
 
ALEXANDRIA, VA, October 4, 2022 – NIRI: The Association for Investor Relations nominated four candidates to serve on the NIRI Board of Directors. 
 
Regular members (corporate IR practitioners and counselors) are asked to vote for a slate of new directors to serve four-year terms (2023-26) on the NIRI Board of Directors. The candidates include: 
 
  • Remy Bernarda, IRC, Partner, IR Advisory Solutions
  •  Lisa Caperelli,Vice President, Investor Relations, Arbutus Biopharma Corporation
  •  Shelly Hubbard, IRC, Vice President, Investor Relations, Vista Outdoor, Inc.
  •  Timothy Sedabres, IRC, EVP - Head of Investor Relations, Huntington National Bank

In addition, John Moten, IRC, Sr. VP, Investor Relations for Aventiv Technologies, has been selected by the Board to serve as Chair-Elect for the coming year. John will take office following the NIRI Annual Meeting on November 30, 2022. 
 
One of the many fundamental duties of the NIRI Board of Directors is to conduct periodic reviews of NIRI’s governing documents, including the Bylaws. The proposed amendments to the Bylaws were developed by the Nominating and Governance Committee in close consultation with NIRI’s legal counsel and approved by the NIRI Board. Major amendments relate to membership termination, membership meeting format and required quorum, term of the Associate Member Director, and other amendments to modernize the governance practices and language used.

The deadline for voting on the new slate of Board candidates and the revised Bylaws is November 4, 2022.
