ALEXANDRIA, VA – Five investor relations (IR) professionals have earned the Investor Relations Charter (IRC®) credential awarded by the Certification Council of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI). 

Representing the 10th class of IRC credential holders, there are now are 178 IRC holders worldwide, who include IR professionals from 123 public companies. They represent seven countries on three continents. The latest class of successful candidates completed the IRC examination offered in June. A complete list of this new IRC class is included at the end of this news release.

“Congratulations to the IR professionals who just passed the IRC exam,” said NIRI President and CEO Gary A. LaBranche, FASAE, CAE. “I’m pleased that they made this commitment to the IR profession and earned the IRC during NIRI’s 50th anniversary year.” 

The IRC program is dedicated to advancing the practice of investor relations and the professional competency and stature of IR professionals. To be eligible to earn and maintain the IRC credential, candidates must meet educational and professional experience requirements, adhere to the IRC Code of Conduct and to NIRI’s Code of Ethics, pass the IRC exam, and participate in ongoing professional development activities. IRC holders may now earn professional development unit (PDU) credits by attending educational events hosted by IR Magazine

In addition, NIRI has introduced several enhancements to the IRC program, including a new sample exam, an IRC ROI Toolkit, and a paperless application/renewal process.
