ALEXANDRIA, VA – Six investor relations (IR) professionals have earned the Investor Relations Charter (IRC®) credential awarded by the Certification Council of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI).
Representing the ninth class of IRC credential holders, there are now a total of 173 IRC holders worldwide, who include IR professionals from Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Indonesia, the Czech Republic, and the United States. The latest class of successful candidates completed the IRC examination offered in March. A complete list of this new IRC class is included at the end of this news release.
“Congratulations to the six investor relations professionals who recently passed the IRC exam,” said NIRI President and CEO Gary A. LaBranche, FASAE, CAE. “The latest class is the first group of IR professionals to earn the IRC during NIRI’s 50th anniversary year, and I look forward to honoring them during our 2019 Annual Conference in Phoenix in June.”
The IRC program is dedicated to advancing the practice of investor relations and the professional competency and stature of IR professionals. The program provides IR professionals with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, expertise, and commitment to the profession.
To be eligible to earn and maintain the IRC credential, candidates must meet educational and professional experience requirements, adhere to the IRC Code of Conduct and to NIRI’s Code of Ethics, pass the IRC exam, and participate in ongoing professional development activities. IRC holders may now earn professional development unit (PDU) credits by attending educational events hosted by IR Magazine.
NIRI is now accepting applications to sit for the June 15-22, 2019, testing window. Program information and applications are available on the NIRI website: April 20 is the application deadline for the June exam.
