ALEXANDRIA, VA (March 26, 2020) – The NIRI 2020 Annual Conference, scheduled to be held June 14-17, in Miami Beach, has been postponed due to attendee health concerns, travel restrictions, hotel closures, and other issues relating to the global coronavirus pandemic.

NIRI is working to reschedule the event to later this year, perhaps in early December at the same hotel. Details will be released by NIRI as soon as definitive information is available.

All existing Fontainebleau Hotel guest reservations booked in the NIRI 2020 Annual Conference room block will be automatically transferred to new dates for the conference. Formal confirmations for each existing reservation will be emailed directly to you by the hotel once the new dates have been finalized. For inquiries about specific reservations, please contact the Fontainebleau directly by calling 1-800-548-8886. Because the hotel is closed by Mayoral Order, and is lightly staffed, your patience is appreciated.

Those registered for the Annual Conference will be able to apply their fees toward a rescheduled or future Annual Conference, other NIRI National seminars and conferences, Investor Relations Charter® (IRC) application fees, IR Competency Suite online courses, NIRI National membership dues, or other NIRI National offerings. Questions may be posed to  NIRI asks for your patience and cooperation as it manages through this unprecedented event.

Exhibitors and sponsors will be contacted soon by Aaron Eggers, NIRI’s Vice President of Sponsor & Partner Relations.

The Annual Conference accounts for about half of NIRI’s annual revenue.  Due to the postponement of the conference, the NIRI Board of Directors authorized the use of a portion of NIRI’s financial reserves to ensure continued service to members during this difficult period.
