Alex Sokolowski

Photograph of Alex Sokolowski Alex Sokolowski completed his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the Unversity of South Florida in 1996 and his PhD in Chemistry from Texas A&M University in 2000.
 
In 2000, he joined GE-Plastics where he worked as an Analytical Chemist and Product Developer in various thermoplastic materials in Upstate NY, West Virginia, and Cartagena Spain. Alex has several patents and scientific artlcles to his name from his days as a scientist.
 
Alex earned his MBA (with a concentration in Finance) from Rensselaer Polytechnic in 2006.
 
In 2008, Alex joined BASF as a Business Development Manager and in 2011 moved to BASF’s HQ in Ludwigshafen Germany to work on Strategy and M&A for the Performance Chemicals division. In 2014, Alex moved to Bremen, Germany to lead a polyurethanes research group in BASF.
 
In March 2017, Alex joined BASF’s IR team in Germany and then came back to the US in September of that year to do Investor Relations for BASF in North America.
 
Alex lives in Chatham NJ with his wife, three children, and two spoiled dogs.
