John Sweeney, CFA, IRC VP Investor Relations, Dentsply Sirona John Sweeney served as the Investor Relations Officer for VWR Corporation, the leading global independent provider of product and service solutions to laboratories. In this role, Mr. Sweeney oversaw the Investor Relations program from IPO, through numerous secondary offerings, to the eventual sale of the Company to Private Equity in December 2017. Mr. Sweeney previously served as Investor Relations Officer in the Defense, Financial Services, Medical Device and Consumer/Specialty Retail Industries. Awards for excellence in Investor Relations include: U.S. IR Professional of the Year (Institutional Investor Magazine 2012 All-America Executive Team Survey), Best IR Professional – mid cap (IR Magazine US Awards 2012) and Best IR Professional in the Medical Supplies & Devices Category (Institutional Investor Magazine 2012 and 2011 All-America Executive Team Surveys). John Sweeney is a CFA Charterholder and an IRC Charterholder. He has a background in Equity Research (Advertising, Publishing and Business Services) at Citigroup and Valuation Consulting at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP. John holds an M.B.A from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Mr. Sweeney is a 15-year member of NIRI, a member of the Senior Roundtable, and serves on the 2018 Annual Conference Committee. In September 2017, John Sweeney was appointed by Secretary Zinke to serve as a primary member of the Department of the Interior’s Royalty Policy Committee, which serves a role in advising the Secretary on policy and strategies to improve management of the multi-billion dollar, federal and American Indian mineral revenue program.
