Speaker Resources

All speakers must provide a short narrative bio and a print quality digital photo by emailing to spotter@niri.org.

A speaker agreement will be emailed to speakers after their official confirmation. Please review and digitally sign within one week of receipt.

Please note that speakers are responsible for their own travel and related expenses, including accommodation. Once your conference registration has been processed, you will receive an email with a unique link to reserve your hotel room at the NIRI discounted rate. NIRI’s room block traditionally sells out, so please book your room early. For more information about accommodation and reservations, please visit our website or contact Sharon Wall at swall@niri.org with any questions.

Session Materials & Presentations – DUE BY MAY 10

If you will use slides, please provide the presentations to your session moderator and Annual Conference Committee member using this template. Consolidated presentations should be submitted in PowerPoint format to NIRIprez@gmail.com.

Where applicable, we encourage speakers to provide takeaway documents with immediately actionable information – e.g., checklists, top 10 “do’s and don’ts”, lists of resources, etc. Submit these documents to NIRIprez@gmail.com.

Slido Live Polling/Q&A – DUE BY APRIL 19

We will utilize a live polling/Q&A app (Slido) throughout the conference. If your session plans to utilize this technology, we will need considerable lead time for programming and training. Please contact spotter@niri.org if you will use the app or for more information.

Request or Change AV or Setup – DUE BY MAY 10

Each room will have a podium and speaker table with microphones, laptop, projector and screen. If you have special audiovisual requests, contact spotter@niri.org.
We will not be able to accommodate onsite A/V or technology related requests.

Additional Information

Print Materials

No printed presentations or handouts will be provided onsite. The electronic versions of all session presentations and handouts will be available through the NIRI Conference App and on the NIRI website, accessible via WiFi throughout the conference facility.

Session Recordings

Sessions will be audio recorded and available to attendees via the NIRI Annual Conference website several weeks after the event.

Media

Media may be present, identifiable only by their badge. Comments should be considered on the record.

Pitch-Free, Respectful Discussion

All attendees should be respectful of the views and opinions of speakers and other attendees. NIRI Conference sessions are not appropriate platforms for the promotion or sale of products and services, either of a speaker’s company, affiliated company, or third-party.

Attire

We recommend business attire for speakers. You may be provided with a lapel mic, so it is advisable to wear something with pockets or a belt where the mic can be clipped. In general, conference attendees follow business casual.
