Members of NIRI's Advocacy Steering Committee and chapter advocacy ambassadors will share an update on key regulatory issues facing public companies and discuss NIRI’s efforts to bring issuers' capital market concerns to lawmakers and regulators. The panel will discuss NIRI’s work with other business organizations to prod regulators to exercise greater oversight of proxy advisory firms, adopt a short-sale disclosure rule, modernize the U.S. proxy system, and require greater transparency around hedge fund activism.
