Photograph of Mark Flannery Mark Flannery is the Sector Executive for Point72’s Energy, Consumer and Financial operating units in the Long/Short Equity business. He is responsible for supporting and supervising the performance and professional development of all of the Firm’s Energy, Consumer and Financials Portfolio Managers and their analyst teams.        
 
Mark joined Point72 in November 2015 from Credit Suisse where he was the Director of US Equity Research for six years, serving as Chairman of the company’s U.S. Research Review and Investment Policy Committees. Prior to becoming the Research Director Mark spent 17 years as an energy analyst at Credit Suisse in London, Hong Kong, and New York, where he ultimately became the Global Head of Energy Research.
 
Mark serves on the Board of Directors of Jump Start, an early education organization, of Catholic Guardian Services, a support organization for underserved families and individuals with special needs, and of Maverick Concerts, a summer chamber music festival in upstate New York.
 
Mark received his MA in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, St. Anne’s College.
