Highlighting to investors the depth of your company’s leadership team can go a long way in creating confidence in the management of your company, but IROs need to be careful when expanding exposure beyond the typical C-Suite.  Whether it takes place at an Analyst Day or a HQ visit, or relates to a long-term succession plan, there are emerging best practices that can ensure the IR team is successful in introducing these leaders to the investment community. In this session we will discuss the Do’s and Don’ts in showcasing your extended management team.  We will cover the best forums to engage investors, how to prepare both the internal team and investors for these unique interactions, what pitfalls to avoid, how to pick the right people (and exclude the wrong people), and how to manage mishaps.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn ways to manage through the process of finding individuals who can represent the company in a positive, productive way – even (or especially) when this often means ruling out those who believe they can or should be “allowed” to speak directly to investors.
  • Describe the things they should talk about
  • Discuss how different investors will approach the exposure to a "new" contact - what will they ask?
  • Learn how to coach those who are not accustomed to speaking to Wall Street – there’s a lot to know and be aware of before novices get in front of analysts and investors.
