The bedrock of the IR profession is telling the story to the buy-side – investors who will appreciate the story, and buy, and park themselves for the long-term. We tell our story relentlessly and consistently through quarterly calls, non-deal roadshows, sellside conferences and more.

But how often do you think about the market for your shares?

What happens after the story, when investors head to the Great Global Stock Store and try to find your shares on the shelf and buy them?  Joe Saluzzi, a founder and Partner at Themis Trading, which works stock orders for the buy-side, is one of the great authorities on how the stock market works. You’ve seen him on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, CBS's "60 Minutes" and elsewhere.  Joe was among the first to shine a bright light on high-frequency trading and its impact on how the buy-side trades.

Mett Kinak’s LinkedIn page says he’s clone manager at T. Rowe Price.  That’s because buying and selling stocks today is a job driven heavily by robots – machines and software code running the maze comprising today’s daunting stock market, trying to hide while seeking out stocks.

Join us for an eye-opening examination of what really happens when a big institutional investor says, “Yes, let’s try to buy that stock.”
