Photograph of Elizabeth M. Higashi, CFA Ms. Higashi is vice president of investor relations and sustainability for Herc Holdings Inc. She joined the company in March 2016 to lead the investor relations initiatives related to the company’s separation from Hertz’s car rental business on June 30, 2016.  She took on the added responsibility of the company’s sustainability program in early 2021.
 
Higashi has more than 30 years of experience in communications and investor relations, leading those functions for three Fortune 500 companies and serving as counsel to companies in the financial services, housing, education, media, retail, transportation, chemicals, agricultural products, energy and healthcare industries.  
 
Higashi currently serves on the Steering Committee of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) Senior Roundtable and on the board of NIRI Florida, having served previously as president of NIRI-Chicago.  In June 2020, Higashi was named a NIRI Fellow. She is an honorary board member of the CORO Foundation of Southern California, and a member of the Chicago CFA Society and CFA Institute.  She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and M.A. in Urban Studies from Occidental College
