Investor messaging is constantly evolving but major transitions within messaging can be tricky to get right. As investors hunger for more information, faster than ever before, there is limited time (and patience) for a long transition within your story. Transitioning your materials and messaging from your initial public offering to your long-term strategic messaging, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions are all high stakes opportunities with messaging that needs to be delivered effectively to your investor base. Thoughtful transitions within investor messaging can make the difference between deepening investor understanding and leaving them confused and left in the dust.

During this session, we will discuss how to leverage your company’s current foundational messaging into a resilient and thoughtful narrative that fits where you are today and where you are headed in the medium to long-term.  We will also showcase how to message elements of the company’s strategy that have changed since their original introduction and how to coach your management team most effectively through the transition.

Learning Objectives:
  • Receive actionable insights on how to transition your message to fit for the long-term trajectory of your company
  • Discover techniques on how and when to be candid with your investors including when  leaning in to outline why the transition is necessary, and how to outline what will change and what will remain the same
  • Discuss how to level-set expectations with your management team surrounding share price, volatility, and managing the investor base during a period of transition, including which investors to target under your new strategy or if fundamentals have shifted
