What is included in the cost of my registration?

Your conference registration includes full and open* access to all sessions, the Showcase and special events. As applicable, breakfast, lunch, evening receptions and breaks are also included. Conference attendees are responsible for all related expenses such as air travel, ground transportation, lodging. Saturday workshops require separate registrations and are not included in Conference registration.

 
*Service providers may not market or sell in sessions, hallways, or networking events. Only sponsoring exhibitors may engage attendees in the Showcase.

Can I pay to attend only one day or part of Conference?

NIRI does not offer a partial registration. Please note that Saturday seminar registrations do not include registration for Conference; and Conference registration does not include registration for the Saturday seminars.

What are the registration deadlines? How can I attend a pre-Conference seminar?

The very popular pre-Conference seminars are held at the hotel on Saturday. To attend a seminar, you must register separately. Please note that Saturday seminar registrations do not include registration for Conference.

Are meals included with my registration?

NIRI provides breakfasts, lunch and afternoon breaks on Monday and Tuesday, and breakfast on Wednesday. The NIRI receptions include hors d'oeuvres.

Can my guest attend meeting functions, as well as evening receptions?

Registered guests include any party not professionally in the field of investor relations or a related discipline. A member may not be a guest pass recipient.

All guests of registrants must register separately in order to participate in evening events. The guest fee is $200 and allows access to Conference evening events only. Guest registrants may not attend any session, breakfast, lunch, or workshop.

How can I obtain an invoice/receipt for a registration or group of registrations?

A receipt is sent via email at the time of registration. A confirmation email, with more information about your registration, is also sent at that time.

You can re-print the system generated receipt by clicking on My Transaction then click on View under Event.
 

Should you need additional assistance, please contact prodev@niri.org for a receipt, invoice, or additional registration questions.

Can I transfer my Conference registration to someone else if I cannot attend?

If you are unable to attend, you can designate a substitute by emailing prodev@niri.org with the new registrant's name and contact information.

Please note that an additional fee may apply if the substitute is not in the same registration category as the original registrant. See the administrative and cancellation policies for additional details.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to ProfessionalDevelopment@niri.org. Cancellation requests received up to one month before the event will be refunded in full, less a $150 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellation requests received within 30 days of the event, including no-shows. All refunds will be processed within one month of confirmation and in the same manner as original payment.

May 9: Last day to cancel and receive a refund minus $150 administration fee.
May 10: Beginning on this day, no refund will be provided for registration cancellations. Contact NIRI as soon as possible to if you would like to send a substitute. Please note that additional registration fees may apply to a substitute in a different registration category.

Can I claim continuing education credits, PDUs, or CPE credits?

By attending the NIRI Annual Conference, IRC® credential holders can earn up to 4 professional development units (PDUs) per day and cover the required IR competencies. Credentialed volunteers and speakers can also earn their share of PDUs.

Will NIRI provide a certificate of attendance?

A certificate of attendance will be provided after the Conference. If you need a detailed record of which sessions you attended, be sure to download the Conference app and scan the QR code for each session to mark your attendance. You will be provided with a full list of sessions scanned.

Who developed the Conference?

The Annual Conference is developed by the Annual Conference Committee (ACC) which is comprised of members of the NIRI community. The ACC began work in the summer and follows a well-defined process  of content development that includes:

  • topic identification and ideation
  • speaker recruitment and preparation
  • session refinement via conference calls and in-person meetings where ACC members challenge, defend, and validate session ideas

Will there be presentation handouts provided onsite?

Per NIRI's paper reducation and social responsibility initiative, presentation handouts will not be printed in advance. Session material is accessible from the Conference website and mobile app. Registrant log-in is required to access.

Is there a Conference app?

Yes.  Details for downloading the application will be emailed to all registrants prior to the Conference.

Is Wi-Fi provided?

Free (limited bandwidth) wifi is available in the main meeting areas and in nearly all session rooms. Due to the limited bandwidth, Wi-Fi is not recommended for use by exhibitors for their displays/presentations.

What is the recommended attire?

The dress code for the Conference is business casual. Meeting room temperatures will vary, so wear layered clothing to ensure your personal comfort. We also recommend comfortable shoes.

Is there an attendee list?

A list of attendees will be made available within the Conference app.

What is the closest airport?

Las Vegas McCarran International Airport is 7.5 miles from the Wynn Hotel, approximately a 10-15 minute taxi ride. 

I have special dietary/accessibility needs.

Is childcare service provided?

Childcare service is not provided. Attendees may contact the concierge at the Conference hotel for hotel and local childcare options.

Is there a PDF of the full program book?

The PDF of the full program book will be available online after the Conference to registrants (log in required).

Will sessions be recorded or broadcast live?

The General Sessions will be audio and video recorded. The concurrent sessions and workshops may be audio recorded.

All available sessions will be archived for replay by registrants on the NIRI Annual Conference website within one month following the Conference. Registrant log-in is required to access.
