NIRI Designates S&P Global Market Intelligence as an Approved Professional Development Unit Provider
Alexandria, VA. (January 26, 2023)
– NIRI: The Association for Investor Relations has designated S&P Global Market Intelligence as an Approved Professional Development Unit (PDU) Provider.
Through this program, NIRI Investor Relations Charter (IRC)
®
holders are now able to earn PDUs at select S&P Global Market Intelligence educational events.
The purpose of the Approved PDU Provider Program is to help IRC holders maintain their certification and give entities that offer education, training and/or other IR-related knowledge programming the opportunity to be recognized to award the PDUs sought by IRC holders for certification renewal purposes.
This collaboration promotes the continued competence of IRC holders by making it easier for them to access educational resources, promotes awareness of the IR profession, and improves the standard of IR excellence.
“We welcome S&P Global Market Intelligence as an Approved Professional Development Unit Provider. Through this growing program, investor relations professionals holding the IRC credential have the opportunity to earn PDUs from an expanding group of IR community constituents offering IR education,” said Matthew Brusch, CAE, NIRI President and CEO.
"With the merger between IHS Markit and S&P Global completed in 2022, we are looking forward to continuing as a NIRI IRC approved provider in 2023 and promote the continued competence of Investor Relations Charter holders," said Kevin Roy, Global Head of Advisory | Investor Relations, Broker Research & Sustainability. "There are a number of topics impacting IROs across the capital markets we plan to cover. Our first program on Index Inclusion and ETF Trends was very successful and demonstrated the range of expertise that now exists across our organization which we plan to leverage to enhance the knowledge and skills of credential holders,” he added.
