Photograph of Brett Hodess Brett Hodess is head of BofAML Americas Equity Research. In this role, he is responsible for managing the delivery of impactful equity analysis and strategic insights to institutional, private and corporate clients.  This includes hiring, developing and maintaining a leading team, while working closely with all internal business partners.  Brett joined Bank of America in 2000, and has been in the financial services industry for 21 years.   He was named to this role in March 2012.  Previously, he served as deputy director of Americas Equity Research; chairman of the Americas Research Recommendations Committee; and chairman of the New Product Review Committee.   Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 2000 as a semiconductor capital equipment analyst, Hodess worked at Banc of America Securities - Montgomery Division for eight years covering the semiconductor capital equipment and semiconductor industries and as manager of Technology Equity Research.  Brett earned his M.B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley in 1992. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University, NYC and graduated cum laude from Bowdoin College with a B.A. in Physics in 1982.
