Two-Part Masterclass on Compelling Investor Presentations and Investor Days: An interactive virtual NIRI workshop – 90 minutes on two consecutive days – with hands-on, guided activities and breakout discussions with peers to maximize learning.
October 12-13, 12:00-1:30pm Eastern Time both days
VIRTUAL
Creating Compelling Investor Presentations
Investor audiences, at the best of times, have a limited attention span for company presentations. In this new world of more virtual meetings, there is a 2X greater need to be clear, concise and on message. To effectively engage and hold your audience’s attention, virtual investor meetings require a different mindset and application of new best practices.
This virtual workshop brings a powerful organizing concept to investor presentations - the pyramid principle. By applying the pyramid principle and the six proven presentation best practices, participants will gain actionable insights to achieve success in two key outreach components of an IR program:
Creating compelling and engaging investor presentations
Executing a successful virtual investor day
Participants will also get the unique opportunity to submit their own investor presentations for critique by the learning group. Learners whose presentations are reviewed will walk away with a wealth of constructive feedback to take their presentations to the next level.
Learning Outline
On day 1,
participants will learn and apply the
pyramid principle and six best practices
for creating a compelling investor story. This includes numerous examples and discussions. Participants will be provided with overnight “homework” - learning exercises that include a presentation submitted by a brave participant to be critiqued.
On day 2
,
Participants will move to breakout rooms. In this
collaborative session
each team will share views on the presentation submitted – applying the pyramid principle and six best practices.
Participants will also learn what makes a successful investor day and once again share views with peers in breakout rooms.
Who Should Attend
This workshop is designed for a wide range of IR professionals but will be particularly beneficial to:
Companies with low valuations partly due to misunderstood or complex stories.
Companies in industries that tend to have complex stories – technology, healthcare, biotech and multi-segment businesses.
Companies with outreach programs strongly focused on attracting new investors.
IROs and CFOs wanting to raise the level of their investor presentations to best in class and/or looking for fresh ideas.
