Services to NIRI Chapters

NIRI National provides many services and benefits to NIRI chapters.
 

Dues Collection and Distribution
Chapter dues are added to National dues invoices with all invoicing handled by NIRI’s national office. Dues are distributed back to chapters on a regular basis. If chapter dues are paid via credit card, NIRI National will deduct 3% of the dues amount to cover credit card charges.

Database Management
NIRI manages the membership database, updating and tracking records for all members. In addition, chapters are provided the following lists monthly:

  • Current Membership List – All active members.
  • New Members – New members are easily identifiable on the monthly membership.
  • Canceled Members – A listing of chapter members who have been canceled. The list provides reasons for the cancellation, if known.
  • Prospect Members – A listing of current NIRI National members who do not hold membership in a NIRI Chapter.
Chapter Leadership Training at The Annual Conference
Offered annually during the NIRI Annual Conference, the Chapter Leadership Meeting is a half-day workshop for NIRI’s chapter leaders – packed with inspiring ideas and networking.
 
Volunteer Appreciation Reception at The Annual Conference
NIRI leaders, including board members, chapter leaders and NIRI Fellows come together to be recognized for their hard work and celebrate successes. Individuals are nominated by their chapters for outstanding achievement awards which are distributed at this event. Additional individuals and chapters are recognized for their leadership.
 
eGroups
NIRI eGroups is a unique, members-only online community. Chapters have their own discussion forums online. eGroups is a perfect place to communicate with other chapter members on a private and secure site.
 
Chapter Presidents’ Chats
Conference calls are held monthly with NIRI Chapter Presidents to share ideas and strategies, seek guidance from peers on leading a successful chapter. Typically held the second week of the month from October – May.
 
Idea Exchange Conference Calls
These exchanges are a great way to share new ideas and a place to ask questions from your peers. Each Idea Exchange call is based on specific board roles or issues/topics, such as membership, programs, communications, etc.
 
Program Planning Support
A Program Committee idea exchange call is held annually to share best practices with program planning peers. Chapter programs are compiled throughout the year and sent out periodically throughout the program year. This is a great source for programming ideas.
 
Chapter program information is posted on the NIRI website and is sent out regularly through NIRI National communication channels. Chapters are provided with a list of the top sessions and speakers from each Annual Conference. NIRI’s President and CEO and other national staff are available to present programs. This includes programs on the IRC certification, NIRI Think Tank reports, and regulatory issues. It is recommended that requests for staff speakers be made at least three months in advance.

Logo Support
NIRI National worked with each chapter to create their logos. Chapters were provided with several versions of the logo: 
   .eps=used by graphic designers and is scalable to large or small sizes.
   .jpg=ideal for attaching to emails and social media
   .pdf=can also be used by graphic designers.
   .png=ideal for websites
 
NIRI National has all chapter logos on file and can work with chapters if they want to change their logo in the future.
