The Board of Directors provides strategic planning and establishes direction for NIRI, serves as a policy-making body for issues affecting NIRI and the conduct of investor relations, addresses the fiduciary needs of NIRI, and oversees staff.
The Board comprises corporate and consultant investor relations profession members, a service provider member, and NIRI’s President and CEO as an ex officio.
The Board works in partnership and collaboration with the President and CEO, who leads the NIRI staff and manages the day-to-day operations. The NIRI Board maintains a strong commitment to diversity of, for example, industry, geography, expertise, perspectives and market capitalization range.

Board Nominations Open Through July 24, 2026
NIRI is seeking four investor relations professionals from the Regular NIRI Member Class, including IR Corporate Practitioners and IR Consultants, to serve on the Board of Directors and help guide the organization’s strategic direction and long-term priorities.
Individuals interested in serving are encouraged to review the Considerations for the NIRI Board of Directors.
To submit a nomination:
- Complete a separate Nomination Form for each nominee
- Include a brief half-page biography
The nomination period will remain open through July 24, 2026.
