IR Update welcomes practical insights, emerging ideas, and informed perspectives from across the investor relations community.
Use our submission form to propose either an editorial contribution led by an investor relations practitioner or a paid sponsored contribution from an IR service provider. You will receive different questions based on the type of contribution you select.
Please review the information below before beginning the form.
IR Practitioner Contribution
Choose this pathway if you are an investor relations practitioner proposing an educational topic, article, case study, interview, or collaborative contribution.
Practitioner contributions:
- May be submitted as a complete article, article idea, brief abstract, case study, or suggested interview
- Should provide practical information or insights for IR professionals
- Must be educational rather than promotional
- Are considered through IR Update’s editorial process
- Are not paid placements
Service providers may participate as sources or co-contributors when their expertise is relevant, but the contribution should be led by a practitioner.
Before You Begin
Please be prepared to provide:
- Your contact information, job title, company, NIRI membership status, and NIRI chapter, if applicable
- A proposed topic or working title
- A brief description of your idea
- An explanation of why the topic is timely and useful to IR professionals
- The practical insights or takeaways readers would gain
- Information about your relevant experience and any additional contributors
- Details about related commercial interests, company approvals, permissions, or confidentiality considerations
- An optional outline, draft, research, or other supporting material
Sponsored Contribution
Choose this pathway if you represent an IR service provider interested in a paid thought-leadership opportunity with defined brand exposure.
Sponsored contributions:
- Must address a substantive issue relevant to IR professionals
- Should provide useful analysis, research, guidance, or practical takeaways
- Must be educational rather than primarily sales-oriented
- Are reviewed for relevance, quality, accuracy, and adherence to NIRI’s sponsored-content standards
- Will be clearly identified as sponsored content when published
If a sponsored contribution proposal is accepted, the sponsoring organization will be required to execute a contractual agreement with NIRI before the contribution proceeds.
Payment provides access to the sponsored-content opportunity and agreed brand exposure. It does not exempt the contribution from NIRI’s content and quality standards.
Before You Begin
Please be prepared to provide:
- Your contact and organization information
- Your NIRI membership or partnership status
- A proposed topic, working title, and brief description or abstract
- The intended audience and key reader takeaways
- Information about the proposed author or authors
- Details about supporting data, research, or methodology
- Any expected references to your company, products, services, clients, or customer results
- Your preferred publication timing
- Information about required permissions, legal review, or compliance approval
- An optional outline, draft, research, or other supporting material
What Happens After You Submit?
NIRI will review your proposal for relevance to the IR Update audience, usefulness, originality, and alignment with editorial priorities or sponsored-content requirements.
NIRI may request additional information or revisions, recommend a different format or angle, hold an idea for future consideration, redirect a proposal to the appropriate submission pathway, or decline the proposal.
Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication. NIRI retains final authority over the scope, editing, timing, placement, and publication of accepted content.
